You were in my dream last night. Or it could have been the early hours of this morning.

The Worst Part

Over
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
Now it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
So it's over baby
It's over baby
When I met you I knew you would be the one for me
'Cause lookin' at you had me feelin' kinda crazy
And what you asked I almost did it automatically
But it was nothing compared to the joy you gave me
Although I know that what we had it wasn't perfect babe
You fooled around but see back then it didn't phase me
I thought by stayin' tryin' to change you would be worth it babe
But now I see that tryin' to change you only changed me
All these tears and all of your lies
All these years and now we're sayin' goodbye
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
Now it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
So it's over baby
It's over baby
Now I'm thinkin' that I never should have dealt with you
All this screamin' and this yellin' that we go through
Rainin' late at night I'm sittin' waitin' up for you
Just to tell you how I hate you who've turned in to
So ain't no way I'm gonna sit and take this shit from you
I'll never play another day of bein' your fool
I wasted all my time on somethin' that just wasn't true
I should have known that I could never ever change you
All these tears and all of your lies
All these years and now we're sayin' goodbye
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
Now it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
So it's over baby
It's over baby
I'll never forget what you did to me
So I'm gone, I'm leavin' leavin' baby
I'll never forget what you did to me
So I'm gone, I'm leavin' leavin' baby
Whenever you see me, don't even speak
I'll never forget what you did to me
Whenever you see me, don't even speak
I'll never forget what you did to me
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
Now it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
So it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
Now it's over baby
It's over baby
I can't believe that it's over baby
Every bruise on my heart you gave me
See we tried but we'd fight then we'd cry
So it's over baby
It's over baby
I'll never forget what you did to me
So I'm gone, I'm leavin' leavin' baby
I'll never forget what you did to me
So I'm gone, I'm leavin'

Musical Dreams
Following on from this, I'm hoping I can maybe redeem myself because I have tickets to the Wireless Festival when Jay Z is headlining! I'm so excited!
On top of that I had a really erotic dream last night. With someone who lives in another country and that I haven't seen for 12 years or so! I'm not sure I'm going to spill all the details but I woke up thinking "WTF was that about?!".
And if that wasn't enough, on the same night, in a totally different dream, my high school Chemistry teacher pops up and tells me that he's "very proud" of me. Seriously - WTF?!

Vivid
Dreams. How many of us have them? Or more to the point; how many of us actually remember having them?
I am not a big dreamer. In fact I hardly think I have dreams (or I do but I don't remember them!) and when I do dream, I wake up thinking I need to tell somebody but in all honesty forget it within about 3 minutes!
But this morning I had a dream which was quite vivid and it really disturbed me.
For some strange reason, I was at a parade maybe. To begin with I was with friends and we were walking down a leafy path and it was dark - the street lights were switched on so it clearly was late in the evening. I remember seeing a girl I used to be friends with and her (now) husband but she was in traditional wedding attire as was he. I remember walking over to them (thinking "WTF?!") and asking if they were going to have the ceremony later on that evening. And she replied that they were getting married straight after the parade. At that point, her bridesmaids came over (people that I really don't talk to!) and I made polite conversation before excusing myself to catch up with my friends.
At this point, even my dream went into slow motion - you know when you're watching it all happening thinking "WTF?!". One of the bridesmaids grabbed me just as I was about to walk away and pulled me away from a guy who was approaching me (us) and said to me - "Stay away from him - he's trouble!". I have no idea who the guy was but I recognised him in the dream as someone who I've seen out at random Lankan parties.
Next thing I know, the scene gets all fast and furious-ey on me. A bunch of people run past us clearly chasing a skinny young boy. And then the parade kinda turns into this mass hooligan group some of who are jeering at the chasing group to "Get him. Get him" which I can only assume relates to the boy. Myself, I forage my way to the front of the mass of the hooligan group as I'm screaming "leave him!". What I was planning to do, I have no idea! Would I have thrown myself between the boy and the chasing group? Seriously?!
But I get to the front of the crowd and I see that there is a body on fire on the floor rolling around screaming.
And then my alarm went off! It's disturbed me so much and I really don't know why! Compared to this dream which seems peachy in comparison!

I Am Who I Am
I am Tamil and proud.
I am British and proud.
I am Sri Lankan and proud.
I am a girl trying to right the wrongs of the world.
I am the girl who is over her crush.
I am the friend that takes all your shit.
I am the daughter of an alcoholic.
I am the girl who is far too emotional for her own good.
I am the girl that wouldn't change the above statement for anything.
I am the girl that dreams of giving everything up to travel but is scared of not having a regular income.
I am the girl that will not be broken by your continuous put downs.
I am the girl who will catch you if you fall.
I am the true love that you let get away.
I am the avid cloud watcher.
I am the sister that will support you in everything.
I am my own representative.
I am who I am because of everyone. © See the Orange Rock Corps ad!
I decided to write this post because I saw a link on another blog that basically linked to here with the link titled as "The Tamil Community in London". I did leave a comment saying that I think it's unfair that the blog author feels the need to tar all Tamils with the same brush. I am part of the Tamil community in London and these Tamils in no way represent me so how is it "THE" Tamil community in London? It's a small few individuals. Obviously the comment didn't stay up but it is their blog and they are entitled to write and publish whatever they want (as am I).

Tales of Kickboxing and a Rhino
A random title for a random post! This will probably be the last one before I leave for my holiday so it might explain why it's a bit random.
I've been kickboxing since January (this could have and probably should have been included in my random 7 things! I only started it as part of my get fit campaign. In hindsight, it's quite clear that I didn't think it through. I mean, I chose a sport where they make you do thousands of push ups, sit ups, star jumps and on top of that - people get punched in the face! Quite frankly, my face doesn't need that!
If you watch me as I'm watching the others in my class spar, you'll see that I flinch a lot more than they do and they're the ones who are getting hurt! I feel their pain. I empathise so much - you'd think it was me out there!
Yesterday I had a grading - basically a test to see if you can wear the next colour of belt up. To pass this, you have to know certain combinations and exhibit a range of moves.
I was dreading it, the first couple I'd had were reasonable. But last night was awful. I didn't remember anything. I told them as well that I wasn't ready for it. I had to do an infinite number of press ups, and I had my Sensei telling me not to smile at him as I was miserably trying to remember combinations! Somehow it all came flooding to me right before the end of the grading so I upped my game about 40%.
Putting me out of my misery, my Sensei told me to stand in the middle of the do-jo in front of the class. As I walked up to him, we went through the motions of bowing to each other.
Sensei: "You failed."
Me: "Fair enough" gutted that I had been put through the torture all in aid of nothing. As I turned round to walk off...
Sensei: "Only joking!"
Me: "So not funny!" elated that I'd passed! I think he only passed me out of pity though. But I'll take it! A pass is a pass right. And all this for a yellow belt! I'm still about 6 belts away from being a black belt!
And the rhino? Well, I had a dream about 2 nights ago and I'm still surprised I remember it two days later! I usually don't even remember them when I wake up!
I was standing at the top of some kind of beach resort. Down below, I see all the holiday makers enjoying the sun, and there is a pier of some sort. In the distant horizon, I see a rhino hurtling through the water straight at the pier. Trying to film this on my camera and issue some kind of warning to those down below, I snap at somebody next to me who's shouting at me to film/take pictures of them! The rhino hits the pier as the holiday makers attempt to flee. And then the rhino runs along the coastal beach line with the pier trailing behind it before entering the water again and disappearing.
I'm not usually one to concentrate on things like this but I've not been able to get it out of my mind!
Completely and utterly bizarre!
