A Legend

Many today will wake up with a feeling of disbelief. The death of Michael Jackson is something unexpected. Despite for all his failing health, I honestly thought that I'd get to hear the reviews of his 50 date sell out tour.

As I sit, write and read the obituaries - I can't help my eyes welling up. Entertaining the masses since the age of 5 - a legend in his own right. My memories of me watching you wide eyed avoiding trying to blink so not to miss anything will remain with me for a long long time.

RIP MJ - August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009

I think I'm still upset. :|

PB: I am crushed. :( I never got tickets in the end. I am much more upset than I thought I would be. And on top of that - no one else in my office seems to be that bothered! :S

Who was MJ? Any relative of yours? Why this undue fuss? I'm yet to see someone slap him on kottu.

JC: I think so.

Anon: Not related to me at all. But I had great respect for him as a musician and entertainer. I'm sorry if MJ wasn't your cup of tea but for me - he's a memory of my childhood and if I want to be upset/crushed/pathetically lamely sad/euphoric or whatever else adjectives describe feelings, I am entitled to be.

If you are upset/crushed/pathetically lamely sad/euphoric or whatever else adjectives describe feelings,

Then please go consult a psychiatrist. No harm in it. Don't be ashamed, people do suffer strange diseases. I will pray for your healthy clear mind whilst admitting my inability to cure sicknesses such as this. Wish you a speedy recovery.
